We took the kids to Wheeler Farm a couple of weeks ago to get out of the house and see if there were new baby animals there. I was stunned by the number of people milling about on a Sunday afternoon. We did manage to find cows and horses, bunnies, chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, pigs and sheep. We also found the assorted babies or eggs or very fat mommas.
It's such a surprise that to see nature we have to go to a farm/park in the city. Such an odd concept but I'm glad it has been preserved and still has plenty of space to run and play. We walked all along the perimeter trails and took lots of breaks for little legs. The kids are so curious and full of cute questions. They love looking for secret areas and little bridges to cross. Mostly, it's just fun for us to watch them explore. We are easily amused.
